Park. Our guides have years of experience as Denali National Park Rangers
- you'll get exercise and an education about the wildlife, plants,
and history of the Talkeetna area.

Immerse yourself in Alaska’s tranquil beauty on a two-mile nature walk in Denali State Park. Enjoy magnificent views of Byers Lake and surrounding mountains, perhaps even majestic Mt. McKinley. Learn about the area’s animal and plant life, and take home a healing salve made from native plants. Explore a log cabin that once belonged to a pioneering couple. Hear about how the adventuresome family survived the long winters in this beautiful setting. You may see nesting trumpeter swans, loons, eagles, or bears foraging for spawning salmon. A visit to the Alaska Veterans Memorial and park visitor center offers spectacular vistas of the Alaska Range. The pace of this hike is comfortable, with frequent stops and photo opportunities.
Note: This hike is on a well-maintained trail with approximately 300 feet of elevation gain. Dress for the current weather conditions. Bring your camera, binoculars, and insect repellent.

of downtown Talkeetna (North of Fish Lake.) There is a $25 transportation
