My name is Karey Larson, and I own and run Talkeetna Travel.  The travel industry has seen a lot of changes in the past few years, but one thing that hasn't changed is the need for quality personalized service from knowledgeable travel professionals.  Living in Talkeetna for the past 18 years, I have been fortunate to get to know many tourist based business owners throughout the state.  I look forward to introducing you to them.

We can't neglect to mention the sixth member of our office, Sorrow the dog.  Sorrow is the classic Alaskan sled dog that isn't. She can run like the wind, but only when she so chooses, particularly when squirrels cross her path.  She spends her days lying in the sun outside the office, and if it's raining, she sulks inside.  That's why she's named Sorrow: because she sulks so well.  She is very friendly if you have food, but won't have the time of day for you if you're empty-handed.  You go to pet her, and she rolls her eyes and turns away. The talent she's most famous for, though, is singing when the Alaska Railroad's train goes by. Usually, all her co-workers howl together with her, since no one can hear anything else anyway.  Sorrow is a dog with a strong personality.  She fits right into the Talkeetna atmosphere!  Our door at Talkeetna Travel is always open, so be sure to stop in and say hello when you get to town!
